• Question: what is the most interesting thing about the human mind ?

      The most interesting this is how we can easily understand each other — if you think about language, it’s just noise that we hear, and our body language are just movements that we see but our minds make sense of these things.

      It’s a wonder that we can understand each other in the first place! We’re all unique and have different minds but somehow we all agree on what sounds, or movements mean and those ‘meanings’ create culture.

      I’d say that even though we like to think of ourselves as individuals, our behaviours typically follow patterns and psychology can help to predict these behaviours. We think of the human mind as a very individual and mysterious thing, but we can use research to work out how and why people behave in certain ways. For example, almost everyone will do the little jog when somebody in front of us holds a door open for us!
