Criminal psychologists are also usually called Forensic Psychologists in the UK. You will need a degree in psychology first of all, and then there are two options:
      1. Get a masters degree in forensic psychology (stage 1), then work as a forensic psychologist for 2 years with someone supervising you (stage 2), then you qualify.
      2. Do a doctorate training in forensic psychology (which is like both stages in option 1 put together, so you qualify when you’re done).
The British Psychological Society has some information about training and what it’s like working as a forensic psychologist: https://careers.bps.org.uk/area/forensic
