• Question: how does the brain work

      That’s a massive question that i’m certainly not qualified to answer!

      One thing I do know is that the brain has two systems that come in to play when making decisions.

      System one is the always on system that makes your brain operate when you don’t even have to think about it (a little bit like riding a bike or driving a car)

      System two is when you have to engage the brain to do a bit more thinking.

      So, if I told you a bat and ball cost £1.10 and that the bat cost one pound more than the ball. What would you say??

      Most people say 10p intuitively, that’s the system one doing the thinking.

      And then usually when they really think about it, they realize it’s 5p. That’s when system two gets involved.
